Jo's Herby Marinara Sauce

Such a versatile, bright, fragrant, punchy sauce and amazing with pasta & Italian / American dishes. Quick and easy to make, and you can keep it in your fridge or freeze it for another day. Works well with - Chicken Parm, Jordan's Mac n Cheese Ball's, Mac n Cheese Al Forno

Ingredients:

  1. Garlic Cloves

  2. 400ml Passata

  3. Caster Suger

  4. Dried Oregano

  5. Fresh Basil

  6. Olive Oil

Method:

Heat a little olive oil and fry 2 crushed garlic cloves for 1 min, then tip in around 300 - 400ml of passata, 1 tsp caster sugar, and 2 tsp dried oregano. Season with salt and pepper and simmer for 5-10 mins until the sauce thickens, finish with freshly torn basil leaves.
